Checkmate is the name of a new 44 meter (144 foot) superyacht launched by Benetti. Packed with luxury amenities, it can pamper up to 12 guests at a time. It features 4 guestrooms on the lower deck in the form of two twins and two VIPs. Extra Pullman berths allow for the regular 10-guest capacity to be risen by two. They all flaunt luxe touches, such as lacquered woodwork in cherry and Burr Madrona, comfortable beds and en-suite facilities with large shower areas.

The master quarters are stunning, occupying the main deck’s fore section. The full-beam master stateroom comes with his and hers bathrooms, generous wardrobes, and a private lobby. The color scheme is similar to that of the main saloon, which includes lacquered dark wood cabinetry and off-white carpeting. The owner can relish marvelous 180-degree views and also plenty of natural light.
The same level of elegance and sophistication can be seen and enjoyed on each level and in each area of the vessel. There are different living, lounging and entertaining zones onboard, including a lovely main saloon that is seamlessly connected to an alfresco dining area and sofa aft. The saloon is divided into several separate zones and boasts abundant natural lighting. The interior design is soft and inviting, with a touch of chic, bearing the signature of Joan Brown.
Carefully chosen colors complement the attentively selected furnishings. Guests here will appreciate a plushdecorwith off-whites, nice honey shades, cream and chocolate brown. For socializing or just idling around there are two lounge areas in the saloon, one central and one fore. This space also holds a bar and a games table for extra entertaining.
Perfectly matching the beautiful interior is the modern exterior with a white superstructure and a navy blue hull that gives it a sporty touch. Checkmate’s beautiful proportions and sleek lines make it very alluring, with a touch of classic elegance. The yacht also flaunts impressive performance, which makes the sailing experience even more enjoyable.
Another noteworthy feature is the generous skylounge with formal circular dining area and bar. This area is equipped with two large glass sliding doors which open it to a lovely alfresco dining space, while also offering 270-degree views. Add to all this a Jacuzzi area with bar, comfy loungers, and an impressive number of toys and tenders, and what you get is an absolutely irresistible superyacht.
